The platform specializing in advanced mental health training, Psychotherapy Training, has announced its upcoming free online seminar. Titled “Mindfulness is not an app: How to truly integrate it into psychotherapy,” the event will be broadcast live next Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM (Peninsular Spain time).

The event will feature two exceptional speakers: Guillermo Myro Domínguez (general health psychologist trained in Dr. Ellen J. Langer's Mindfulness lab at Harvard University and certified by the University of Massachusetts and Stanford) alongside Dr. José Luis Marín, medical psychotherapist and pioneer in Brief Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Medicine.

This webinar is specially designed for psychologists, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals who wish to learn how to integrate Mindfulness and Compassion into clinical practice with a rigorous scientific approach, moving away from mechanical or superficial applications.

What is the value proposition of the event?
Throughout the session, attendees will discover that Mindfulness is not a simple technique to “prescribe” to the patient, but a way of being and relating in consultation that transforms therapeutic outcomes. Key learnings from the seminar include:

From knowing to being: The transition from viewing Mindfulness as a relaxation technique to understanding it as an embodied therapeutic presence that generates real connection.

Mind-Body Integration (Embodiment): How somatic work overcomes traditional Cartesian disconnection, proving key to addressing cases of trauma, stress, and chronic somatization.

The power of Compassion: Tools for managing difficult emotions, the critical voice, and deep suffering through Heartfulness.

Therapist Protection: The professional's personal practice as the greatest predictor of success in therapy and their best shield against burnout and vicarious fatigue.

Problem-solving in consultation
The seminar will address common problems in daily practice, such as the application of techniques that do not produce profound changes, mind-body fragmentation in patients with chronic stress, and emotional over-involvement or therapist burnout after many hours of consultation.

Places to attend the live event on Wednesday, May 27, at 7:00 PM are limited. All interested professionals can reserve their spot completely free of charge through the official registration form.
