Our director, Dr. José Luis Marín, presented his new book, 'Mental Health Does Not Exist. Health Does,' at the Palacio de la Prensa to approximately 200 in-person attendees and another 200 people connected live via streaming. The event brought together health professionals, students, and members of our community.
The first part of the event consisted of a conversation between Dr. Marín and his son, Ignacio Marín, in which they briefly reviewed his personal and professional trajectory. Subsequently, the author offered a presentation focused on the main theses of the book and the conceptual framework that underpins the work.
The event was attended by professionals and prominent figures in the field of psychiatry, as well as the support of his editor, from Penguin Publishing Group.
After the presentation, Dr. Marín expressed: “Seeing the hall completely full and feeling your warmth, both from those who surrounded me in Madrid and from the hundreds of people who connected from a distance, is the greatest gift an author can receive.”
The event concluded with a book signing and a meeting with attendees. With this presentation, Formación Psicoterapia adds a new publishing milestone linked to the academic and clinical career of its director.
